Some people can be quite judgemental when it comes to shopping on eBay and second-hand shops. Yes, there are some things that I would just never buy from these places. However, I love the idea of being able to find something original that nobody else is wearing, or something that is brand new and never used, but a fraction of the original price in the shops. It’s kind of become a challenge!
My most recent purchases included the below:
I’ve been looking for a decent size cross-body bag for so long, but every one that I find is cheaply made or not the right size. I picked up this brand new M&S leather bag from a charity shop today for £3.95 – How can you beat that?! I also picked up a copy of “The Secret”, which also looks like it hasn’t ever been read, for £1.95. I’ve been umm-ing and ahh-ing over this book for ages due to mixed reviews. With it being so much cheaper in the charity shop, I thought I might as well give it a go and donate it back later.
My absolute favourite bargain of all time though is the below:
I have had these for a while now but they were an absolute win. I actually won these on an Ebay auction last year for £2 including postage. They were brand new, from Topshop with the tags still on. They were originally around £50 (I can’t remember exactly how much). But I fell in love with them instantly. I wore them so much at university as they’re really comfortable – and all for £2!
I used to be so embarrassed about using eBay or visiting second-hand shops as my ex was kind of a massive judgemental arse about it. However, over the last few years I’ve become proud of my bargains. I mean, why would you want to pay an extra £30 for a top that you can pretty much guarantee will be brand new and less than half the price elsewhere? There’s so much more satisfaction in finding something you love for less. And let’s face it, anyone that wants to judge people on where they buy things needs to re-evaluate their life! Personally, I’d rather save the extra money for things that will stay with me like making memories!
