Review: MUA Wonder Vanishing Cream Primer

So , anyone that knows me knows that I’m not a massive follower of the latest beauty products. However, my sister finally persuaded me of the benefits of primer, and so I thought I’d give it a go.

The MUA Wonder Vanishing Cream primer was only £5 from Superdrug and promised a ‘silky-smooth’ finish with ‘vanished lines and pores’.

I can agree that this primer makes your face feel deliciously smooth. My skin felt not too dissimilar to a baby’s behind after using it and I found that this helped to combat the dry skin issue I often face when wearing foundation. For me, this made a massive difference to how I feel wearing makeup. As I have a fairly active job, I find that my makeup generally wears off towards the end of the day. This primer helped my makeup to last a little longer, and so for that reason I am a primer convert!

I also found no problems with using this on sensitive skin as it is gentle and has very little fragrance to it.

On the other hand, I can’t see that this made any difference at all to diminishing lines and pores as claimed. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am only 24 and don’t have a lot of lines. However, I have suffered in the past with my skin and found that there was no difference to the appearance of the pores on my face after using this primer for the last month. This wouldn’t stop my purchasing it again, I just think they should re-word their description slightly.

All in all, for £5 I think this is an effective product that has definitely made me rethink my makeup routine! If anyone has any other recommendations for primers, please let me know!
