Review: MUA Skin Define Hydro Primer

Now that I’ve branched into the wonderful world of primer, I decided to experiment with the many different options out there. However, when it came to choosing one I had trouble distinguishing the difference between them all. Then this one caught my eye…

The MUA Skin Define Hydro Primer is a lightweight, gel formula that makes you feel as though you’ve emerged from glistening waters like the mermaid you truly are. What I mean is it makes your face feel hydrated…

It’s fast drying, non-sticky and seems to cope well with my sensitive skin. The only drawback is that it doesn’t seem to hold onto my makeup as well as my previous primer. Due to this, I’ve also had to expand into the world of setting sprays!

This primer costs £5 in Superdrug, but I got this on an offer for £2.50, which is one of the reasons I opted for this one over others. I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t like to spend a lot on something that might not agree with my skin and might be unusable; one of the many problems with sensitive skin!

All in all, I’d say this is an effective skin hydrator and whilst it may not be the best primer out there, it is worth a try if you have sensitive, combination skin like me! I’m unsure whether I would purchase again at full price, but nevertheless it has been a lovely product especially in the humid weather we’ve been getting lately!
